Second Sunday After Pentecost
Holy and loving God, bring calm to our lives this day. At times, we look at the problems of the world and feel that we can make no difference. We are perplexed, but not in despair. Struck down, but not destroyed. Help us live in the tension between thinking we can do everything and fearing that we can do nothing. We give in faith and with faith. In the name of Jesus, who had nothing but possessed everything. Amen. II Corinthians 4:5-12
